About Us

Harbour Community Hub was set up to be a welcoming place where local people can find support, share ideas, and join in with neighbourhood life. Our day-to-day work is shaped by conversations, drop-ins, community events, and careful listening to what residents, families, older adults, and young people need. We also work alongside volunteers and local groups to help plan activities, share news, and connect people with useful information and guidance. Much of our time is spent welcoming visitors, coordinating events, supporting interviews and local updates, and keeping communication clear through video, editing, broadcast-style sharing, and simple schedules. The result is a friendly hub that feels rooted in the community and responsive to everyday life.

Our Process

How we work

  • 1
Plan the channel scheduleWe begin by confirming the week’s news, interviews, local events, and any live or recorded pieces that need coverage. The team then builds a clear broadcast schedule so presenters, producers, and editors know what is going out and when.
  • 2
Prepare presenters and segmentsPresenters are briefed on the running order, key talking points, and any community updates that need careful handling. If interviews are involved, we arrange timings, questions, and any supporting notes so the conversation stays focused and natural.
  • 3
Capture and edit the footageWe record studio, event, or field material using the format that suits the story best. After that, the video is edited for clarity, pacing, and sound, with any graphics or captions added where they help viewers follow along.
  • 4
Broadcast and share updatesOnce everything is approved, the finished content is scheduled for broadcast or published across the relevant channel pages. We also share updates with the community so residents can catch news, interviews, and event coverage at the right time.

FAQ

Common questions

What services does Harbour Community Hub offer for local news and community coverage?

Harbour Community Hub supports community-focused news and local storytelling through interviews, event coverage, and presenter-led content. The work usually includes filming, video editing, and broadcast-ready material that can fit planned schedules and community channel output.

What is typically included when Harbour Community Hub handles a community broadcast or video project?

A typical project can include planning, recording interviews, on-site coverage of local events, editing, and preparing the final video for broadcast or online sharing. The team also helps shape the content so it feels relevant to the local audience and fits the channel’s schedule and format.

How is pricing for Harbour Community Hub usually quoted for news, video, editing, or broadcast support?

Pricing is typically quoted after we understand the scope of the request, such as the type of news coverage, interview support, video editing, or scheduling help needed. We usually look at the time involved, the level of preparation, and any local event or broadcast requirements before sharing a clear quote.

What can affect the final cost for a community event, presenter booking, or local broadcast project?

Several factors can affect cost, including the length of the project, how much editing or filming is required, and whether the work needs to fit a fixed broadcast schedule. Travel, turnaround time, and any extra planning for interviews or event coverage may also shape the final fee.

How can I get in touch with Harbour Community Hub, and what is the best way to start a project?

The easiest way to begin is to contact the team with a short message about your local news, event, interview, or video idea. They can then point you to the right person and explain the next steps, including any schedule details needed to get started.
